Ayurveda– A Four Week Course, Saturdays, March 4th to March 25th 1-3pm Register
Ayurveda is a form of medicine that originated in India, it is considered yoga’s “sister science.”
Ayurveda emphasizes prevention of disease, rejuvenation of our body systems, and extension of life span. The profound premise of Ayurveda is that through certain practices, not only can we prevent heart disease and make our headaches go away, but we can also better understand ourselves and the world around us. Ayurveda gives you the tools to live a long healthy life in balance and harmony, achieve your fullest potential, and express your true inner nature on a daily basis.
Through this course you will gain an understanding that will give you the ability to apply Ayurveda in your everyday life. This 4-week series will cover:
March 4th – An introduction to Ayurveda
March 11th – Ayurveda tools for yoga, (using Ayurveda to determine the best asanas, meditations, pranayamas, and mantras to practice for different individuals).
